Can anyone please explain how/why MSFT can trade in such a narrow range all day?
---

It's pretty simple, IMO:

1. There are a lot of people on vacation.

2. There's not a lot of MSFT-related news today.

abbigail: You ask a very good question. It is unusual to see see such thin volume trading in such a narrow range. But it would be more unusual if the bid and askk spread were tight on a day such as this (25% of avg. vol.) Did you notice the spreads throughout the day. Were they 1/8 or 1/4 between bid and ask? From a statistical point of view , Microsoft is traded by millions of investors, it is very interesting that all those investors had the same range of trading , and from statistical point of view , it is almost impossible . Conclusion : Microsoft is artificially controlled by someone on purpose. As to by whom and why , only GOD knows !!!
