how do you short 102% of a stock?

biz.yahoo.com

all they need to do to get the stock running is announce that they'll start a b2b web site or an auction site for used diapers.

I know you were likely speaking 1/2 ficitiously when you said, "i don't do fundamentals, but i believe mo's non tobacco business is worth quite a bit.

what if they spin-off part of it,"

but I would assign at least an 80% likelihood that a big domestic tobacco verdict which exceeded domestic tobacco assets would be quite easily attached to ALL of MO's other businesses which were bought from profits generated solely by its' domestic tobacco division. Why else would the business be valued at much less than the business less domestic tobacco operations?

Couple the above with the fact that in America we all think it is ok to screw big companies via large jury verdicts, and you are rolling the dice.

Oh, and remember, OJ got off <g>.
