Maurice/Thread .... I'd prefer the thread vs. money, but if G* shows a rapid rise, the thread will become "Osterized" (oh-ster-ized)or pureed to glee ... "wee it's the money".

Did you/anyone read the whole PaineWebber report today for Q? .... Walter Piecyk and Joseph Galone broke down their $1000 per share target into segments, citing the following for "$30" of the $1000 share total:

Globalstar is mentioned ....

from the report:

" $30 FOR OTHER BUSINESS

Qualcomm operates a wireless network with over $300
million in revenue worth $25 per share based on 40x
its profit. Its equity holdings, contract services and
mobile phone sales to GlobalStar (a business model
that we do not believe works) as well as a wireless
data joint venture with Microsoft account for the
balance. "

If I read this correctly, PW is not too keen on G*.... but then, weren't they late to the batter's box with Q ? I'm not terribly concerned with their opinion and am long ... but this is pretty strange, given the royal endorsement of Q-type technologies today. I'm fully aware of the higher risk in G*, but G* business model, which has been hashed to death here, is much more sound than Irid ... Any thoughts on what they might be attacking, or did I miss the point entirely.....

I also noticed no mention of digital cinema as a future source of revs .... in this report, though, this is premature, I know.

Anyone with a view ... jump right in ....

regards,
