Hi Dan, <<I was recently scanning the Associated Press wire Web site and came across a story of about how Reform Jews are being urged to convert their non-Jewish spouses to Judaism by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations>> I would seriously challenge this statement as being accurate. I have never heard of non Jewish spouses being encouraged to convert to Judaism. Actually I have been around many cases where they encouraged the Jewish spouse to leave and marry a Jewish spouse. They base this on the book Ezra. I belong to a Southern Baptist supported Messianic Congregation and know the people behind the missionary outreach. It is clear that it is provoking Jews to jealousy since it involves their religion. It is wonderful to see this fulfillment of Romans 11. Christianity has removed itself so far from it's roots they can not identify with it and do not feel jealous. Your prayers for the success of this outreach are appreciated, Nancy
