George, the main problem with Kellner's view is buried in the bubble itself. now that a 'closed-system' mentality has taken hold in the stock market, driving the leading stocks to unprecedented multiples a hostile Fed would simply occasion a crash. no way can this market produce a soft landing. and that is something the Fed doesn't want to have on it's hands. conclusion: the bubble inflates further, until a) the natural limit of new credit creation is reached, or b) an outside event big enough for WS to notice occurs. then it crashes, just like that. the Fed may well raise rates, but easy Al will keep on pouring liquidity into the system through the back door.
