Thanks for the new thread,,, Quick question,, I just downloaded all of last years transactions from Penson in the qif file format and imported it into quicken 2000. When i generate a capital gains report there are several realized gains that make no sense. It seems that quicken is picking certain trades and instead of correctly matching up a buy and sell,, it is just adding them together producing an irrelevant figure. like 550 shs of xyz security,, sales price= 7500 cost basis 7200= a total loss of 14,700 instead of a 300 dollar gain. It does this on i dont know how many but i need to know how to fix it if possible,,, thanks:)

CBC,

While you answer lizard's question, could you also list the capabilities/formats for the Pension export function, ie, ascii, Excel and other formats.

Adding to the questions about Penson:

I want to do something very basic.

See the P&L of matched trades including commissions in text or any other form accessable to Excel.

Of all the modes and options Penson has they seem to be lacking the most obvious. Add to that the fact that Cyber-X does not report P&L including commissions and you have a documentation system that to me is completely useless.

I have ben trading with CyberX since Aug. and am very happy customer
The Tech support has always solved problems and the trading desk
has got me out of positions when there have ben problems.

I used the new CyberX 1.5 on Fri ( thanks for the Commission discount )
I found the new buttons ( # of shares and price ) to be almost impossible to
use.
I have settings at 100 share increases and price set at +/- 1/16
One click of the mouse and it was not uncommon to add 200 or
sometimes 300 shares to the default 500 shares, and when trying to
adjust price a 1/4 point increase / decrease was common.

I hope this is something that gets fixed and fixed FAST because
it is something that is very nerve wrecking and I'm sure I will not be
the only one to think so.

Thanks for a Excellent product !!
Alf
