I needed another computer to act as a firewall between a cable modem and my household network. It's going to be a dedicated machine to one program so it didn't need to be powerfull. I went to the used computer store and they had a whole line of Compaqs for about $150 each. I settled for a Dell GXpro200 (cost me $175). It does have the hard to find EDO-ECC memory but it has enough for the firewall application and I couldn't imagine someone coming to my house and finding a Compaq under the table. (Firewall works great, every computer gets SI now).

RE: Are you going to sell that Compaq stock and buy more Dell?

Every day I notice someone is still buying CPQ...What a shame...I thought there were more knowledgeable folks out there...
