exactly, Y2k is a LOSE, LOSE situation for the US... if nothing happens, foreigners start dumping dollars and bonds on friday (asia and Europe will have already begun the new yr while we are trading so we'll know if there are going to be any disasters and i doubt it. if we do get problems they'll be in the supply chain and cause shortages of goods and commodities which will cause rampant inflation in the dollar.

interesting isn't it that will all this supposed safehaven dollar buying, the buck is slipping, t-bills have tanked and the bond keeps falling. imagine what happens when they all try to sell after the fact....
