Of course I will not argue with what that scripture says::: Here is the whole text. Matthew 15: 22-28
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
I certainly won't tell you what these verses have to mean to you James, but I will for me. Fair enough?
v22. The woman comes crying after Jesus. O Lord, thou son of David ((Lord could have been used for anyone here as many were called Lord by lessers, but look at the next..... a Gentile(dog), calling Jesus the son of David???? that make sense? )) my reasoning here is that either she heard someone else calling him that and/or she believed he was/is...
23 and 24. When Jesus answered "I am not sent but unto...etc" could I think that he was he speaking to the woman ..or the disciples? the very ones telling Jesus to send her away....
Yet the woman came and WORSHIPPED(v25), and asked(v25), and received(v28)....
HOW...WHY???? FAITH .IMO the very same FAITH I have as an adopted son(or dog however I choose to put it.)
Gods Kingdom came with power at Pentecost. Yes Paul was sent to the Gentiles....but also notice that it was Pauls custom to go to the temple in every town and reason with Jews....think he was disobeying God?
Jesus said: Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
and it did....on Pentecost...
Joel 2:28 Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Always before Pentecost the Kingdom is spoken of as a future and after Pentecost as having been established (Col. 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son---Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear---Rev. 1:9, Acts 19:8, Romans 14:17...many others.
Of course it was/is a Spiritual Kingdom
And lookie here what Peter said:
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
who is this "a far off" Peter talks about? Well Paul says this:
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
So however it happened , I believe we are in the Kingdom of God and as an adopted son with full rights I am saved by the grace of God.
