John, Re: <<OK, now where? I hear 1000. I hear 40%. Euphoria aside, what is the best rational prediction for QCOM?>>

I think the next new new thing will be for companies not to split their stock. QCOM kind of started and defined the 4 vs 2 to 1 split and look what happened (BVSN's 3 to 1 split a while back didn't hurt things). I think that given the prevailing psychology in the markets these days there's a certain cachet to a $1000 stock that a $20 stock doesn't have. Companies should keep their valuable shares scarce. You're a winner if you pay up for a $1800 stock that runs to $2750. That mofo could run to $4000 in a heartbeat.

Within a year you'll see daytraders trading single shares of highfliers with stock prices above 2000.

Yours in sci-fi prediction mode,
C Nelson Reilly
