That's a toughy, There is no doubt in my mind that AOL will recover as soon as the excitement dies down. Many (including me) are not buying more AOL for the moment(because of QCOM). Ordinarily I would ride it and take my profit tomorrow. But I tend to agree with the analyst on this point. The potential for future profit and dominance out way the ridiculous price. Normally just before and after a split you will see some profit taking. That's why I wouldn't buy QCOM on margin. I think because of the many PATENTS they hold it will just keep going and going. Throw in a couple of more splits and of coarse inflation ( I used to food shop with 30 bucks a week 20 years ago) and the price doesn't look so bad anymore if you are planning to hold long term 5-10 years. Short term I'm worried about the fed and the usual summer sell off. I might go to cash a couple of weeks before memorial day. But then you take the chance that QCOM won't drop as much as the others. What do you think ? I say 250 at least, on the first day after the split. Don't hold me to it.
