A1BRIAN,

I have followed WS for a couple of years now. Believe me when I say I was quite shocked to see a quote over $7 a share. When I followed them (somewhat sporadically) they were ranging between $2+ and $3+ per share. And not much to recommend them.

I still fail to see any near term growth at all. And at $7 a share, I suspect (haven't done the numbers in over a year now) that they're likely not a value play either (best guesstimate is that they're priced between 2 and 3 times actual or intrinsic value).

I'd be interested in what any analysts might have to say, so I looked them up...

quicken.excite.com

They've surprised the market 4 of the last 5 quarters by failing to meet earnings forecasts. They're currently followed by only 2 analysts (possible these analysts are employed by whatever firms are marketing the company, so caveat emptor).

As for institutional interest, the only one I could find was Vanguard Total Stock Market Fund (there may be pension funds or other institutional interest that I wasn't able to find quickly).

Bottom line? The time to have bought these shares may have been before the run-up to $7+. Buying now likely entails considerably more risk.

Best of luck to you and I hope it works out well for you, but I'll pass for now.

KJC

Yahoo has a message board with a lot of info..Including some from company employees..Increase in value is linked to new web site for steel industry ..WS helped found the site and has a portion of the interest and just sold some of it for $180 million..Future value of WS is projected to be $12-24 per share..But who really knows..No certainty on the future..
