<<Keep two extra in mind: (1) The 9 million shorted shares have to be covered.>>

Unless the stock goes to pennies (where the covering pressure wouldn't do anything), or the company goes bankrupt.

<<Pick up Feb 5 calls @ 15/16 when it hit 52-wk low yesterday>>

I consider that a bad bet. You are paying nearly 20% of the stock's value in premium for less than 2 months of time. Might as well just have bought the stock outright.

<<(2) the internet portion of CPU alone is worth about the same as EGGS, $16/share; CPU is a truely hidden internet play that people have not found yet. >>

The interenet portion (cozone) is well understood. It's the crappy retail biz and the competition that's killing CPU.

I remain long only because this management (even though they have thoroughly pissed me off lately) has managed to reinvent this company before and yank it out of bankruptcy under much more dire circumstances. Halpin now intends to have Cozone kill its parent - the bricks and mortar business - intentionally. In essence, pulling an Egghead but - hopefully - in a much more intelligent manner.

But don't wear rose-colored glasses. I doubled up my position when the stock traded below 6 as a long-shot bet on a turnaround. That bet is still very far from paying off.
