Pumping more money and firing up inflation Thursday December 30, 8:24 am Eastern Time Fed added reserves via 14-day fixed system RPs NEW YORK, Dec 30 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said on Thursday that it added temporary reserves to the banking system through fourteen-day fixed system repurchase agreements. All the repurchases are for tri-party settlement. Federal funds were trading at 3-1/2 percent at the time of the operation, below the Fed's target for the rate.
