We are finishing the 20th century in the shadow of war and genocide. I thin United State Govrnment and the Western Democracies are morally responsilbe for what is taking place in Chechnya! We gave our tax dollars to Russia to rebuild their armed forces, so they can kill Chechens. The billions of dollars of IMF money gaven away to Russians can server two purpose, appeasing Russians and helping them to start re-arming so we can start a new cold war, which many defense indutries in the West are dearly missing! Appeasing Russian with IMF loans and turning them into a peacful capitalists has been a faileur. Russian voters casted their votes for the war party! The massacre of Askhan Yurt was an example of what we are dealing with, an army of thugs and thieves. An entire village massacred so they proud Russian Army walk away with the victim's carpets and washing machines! ggg No wonder the whole former East Block wants protection by joining NATO!
