FWIW all, G&K hunting looks most promising in handheld space (COMS for PALM spinoff, and Symbian owners. Also web hosting in a post Y2K era. EXDS has a significant revenue lead over competitors like DIGX, DRTN and NAVI. Not a gorilla opportunity (data center building and technology is not proprietary as defined by GG) but perhaps a king. Comments welcome there too. One key piece I am working on: what application infrastructure providers are the e-consulting firms partnered with...which co's are Razorfish Viant et al using to bring digital businesses online? For example I saw a recent Viant PR which mentioned HP as providing the web hosting. Did not make sense to me...perhaps it is via Qwest?! Thoughts/info WELCOME! Cheers!!

RE: Handheld G&K Game questions

You say Palm is facing a tough fight against Symbian (Psion?) in the OS wars (only 16b vs 32b), yet you call Palm a handset OS gorilla and have no position in Psion. You use Nok as a proxy and therefore have two handheld OS gorillas? Is it because Psion is traded in London? What devices are currently powered by Epoc? And, in any case, isn't it too early to declare a gorilla? Might it evolve instead into a royalty game, at least initially?

Sorry about the misunderstanding. I only said that Palm is fighting with Symbian for the handheld OS gorilla position. Using the basket method, I included both companies in the Handheld G&K Game. Since Symbian is still private, and I didn't find an easy way to track the price of Psion (31% owner of Symbian), I doubled up position on Nokia (23% owner) with intention of switching to Symbian when it becomes public. (For those who are interested in knowing how companies were selected for the Handheld Game, here is the link to the post: siliconinvestor.com
