Charred, once again, it's my understanding that when the concession was drilled by BRGM almost 20 years ago the property was little more than moose pasture. Maps of TG1 showing the original drill hole locations would seem to support this. If you have information to the contrary please provide it.

The beneficial ownership, exploration and development rights of the concession was governed by agreements executed in 1979 and 1981 by the gov. of Peru and BRGM. In April of 1997 Manhattan acquired the interest of BRGM in the agreements. The new agreements between the gov. of Peru and Manhattan which govern the ownership, exploration and development of the concession allow Manhattan an option to earn 75% of the concession with the state of Peru owning the remaining 25%.

surface rights only give you partial control of what goes on on the surface. It will do nothing for below the surface. I had surface rights to my property in CA. Standard oil wanted to drill for oil on my property. All I could do was make them pay a little bit...never did get any of the oil....because I did not have the mineral rights!
