FROM Raging Bull: Bill Dalglish post:
Site visits -- another incredible record taking shape! (stats)
Wow, what a day Thursday at the Web site!!

Several have asked for updates on statistics for visitors to the
telecomtechstocks.com web site where InterDigital is the current "Focus
Stock"

Wednesday was the highest day ever for visitor sessions at the Web site, with over
3,600 visits. But Thursday is even more incredible. Half that number have already
visited the site since midnight. The number of visits has been picking up significantly
and the momentum has continued building.

Sometimes, knowing which pages are being viewed the most gives a clue to the
reasons why InterDigital shares may be moving. In order of activity, these were the most
popular pages visited on December 29 and 30th. Several of the sections of the Web
site were rewritten significantly Tuesday or recently and are so indicated below. (Latest
revision date of the content is in parenthesis):

"Telecom Technology for Non-Techies" -- a beginner?s level explanation of the basic
technology powering the communications equipment industry today. Down to earth
explanations of terms like analog, digital, DSP chip, ASIC, modulate, radio waves,
circuit, packet, wideband, narrowband, TDMA, GSM, CDMA, wireless, wireline,
wireless local loop.Includes links to multi-media presentations on third generation
wireless and the future of wireless communications.

Acquisition Target? Is InterDigital a ripe acquisition target? In an environment in which
the major telecom firms, enjoying dramatic increases in their share values, have plenty
of capital to buy attractive resources, probably so. The InterDigital Board recently
brought in the investment banker Morgan Keegan to help sort out their options, vis a vis
merger or acquisition. To stave off unfriendly takeovers the Board of Directors has
approved a complex strategy to prevent a hostile takeover for less than $40 share.

Rapidly Expanding Market We Americans do not yet realize the extent of the wireless
communications revolution that is sweeping the world. Worldwide, however, beginning
with Japan, where IDC announced the opening of a new office in January, 2000, the
market for exactly the kind of technology that InterDigital has invented is growing
exponentially. InterDigital is working closely with NTT DoCoMo, the largest - by far -
wireless manufacturer in Japan, where wireless 3G devices will be sold before
anywhere else in the world. (12/28/99) See:
