Elmer, OT

I play golf all year in FL, and during the summer, it's more of a endurance test than anything else. I have to admitt that when I've played summer golf in Arizona it was even worse. You win.

Elmer,

Well now I have to tell you about Phoenix. The heat here is staggering from June to mid October.

The big advantage that Phoenix has over the Gulf coast is that you can drive a few hours and get out of the heat. I remember a Labor Day which I started in Tempe, drove to Flagstaff and climbed the San Francisco Peaks (where I got in a snow storm), and got back home in time to experience some 100 degree weather by the pool. In Florida or Texas, there is no escape!
