Thread: I've been following ATY for a few months.

Bought at $14., so it's looking good.
Fundamentally, looks like there's lots of upside potential.

However, it does seem to languish at times, like now.

Could some of you long-term holders comment on the Nasdaq trading. It really surprises me how low the interest and volume seems to be on the Nasdaq. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Thanks.

Cush

<<why is ATI stock acting so poorly right now?>>

I really have no idea on why it's acting like this right now.

I've been asking myself the same thing on a lot of stocks, for example; who was selling( Descartes System TSE:DSG) in August and November. <ggg¯>

chart.bigcharts.com

They probably are the ones buying DSG at 30$ right now :)

Regards,

MArc

>>why is ATI stock acting so poorly right now? <<

I think the reason is the same as all the other stocks that have been trending downwards the past couple of days for no good reason: Tax loss selling in the US. Although in Canada we had to sell last week because Revenue Canada counts settlement date, the IRS just checks the execution date.

My guess is that we may head a bit lower tomorrow, but it will pick up early January and move into the low 20's as it ramps up for the quarterly results. Without the chromatics acquisition writedown making the earnings look worse than they are, investors should push this up nicely. Regardless of results, the stock always ramps up just before the announcement date, and I'd be surprised if this time was any different.
