I was not trying to get into a debate about wash sale date. Mopack asked about what was the last day he could sell to get the tax loss. I threw out the wash sale just in case he was planning on buying it back right after the new year. I cannot believe that any stock that was sold for tax loss reasons would make that big a difference between a couple of days. This week I bulked up on some tax loss stocks because I expect a gain in them over the month of January. Hardline
