All you need to know about internat stock valuation:
1) At $50, they are cheap.
2) At $100, they are fairly valued.
3) At $200, they are cheap again because they are about to split 4 for 1.

Personally, I'll be doing sommersaults when reality hits these stocks as long as I don't get hit by the shrapnel (as I fully expect will happen).
Happy New Year! -Z

Well, considering this is still the Disk Drive discussion thread, I have a question on disk drives. All this quarter retail disk prices have held firm. It also seems unit volumes are high. I think revenues will be very good for the major vendors. But are the current prices profitable ? Or are they staying firm, but at a level that guarantees losses for everyone. I really don't understand Maxtor's announcement a couple weeks ago. They said their demand allowed raising prices, yet they still will lose 14c for the quarter. How does this make sense ? And are profits impossible at current prices ?

<<Ach, the new millenium and the new economy! What other terrible surprises do you hold?>>

Hope and dreams. Reality is a commodity.

'Tis glorious (as long as you keep some cash <g>),
