Hey fudd:

New Year's game for you to play! You can play too, carl!

Now that AMD is at $28.375, which will come first?

(i) (a)$25 or (b)$30,
(ii) (a)$20 or (b)$35,
(iii) (a)$15 or (b)$40

Don't know about you, but answering those 3 questions sure helps me shape an appropriate investment strategy!

Care to take a crack at responding directly to the 3 questions fudd? Something tells me you won't be able to respond directly...Wonder why? Hmmm!

Re: "Contrary to the opinions of Carl, neg $0.62 fudd and yousniff who say it must be so...,I think AMD will get to $48 long before we ever see $17, based upon technicals and fundamentals as I see them...but opposite points of view are what makes a market. The carls, neg $0.62 fudds and yousniffs were all here at $17...Is it any surprise that their tunes should be louder at $28.50? Nothing has changed according to their outlook, history repeats...Intc goes to the moon, AMD tanks...no Athlon, no flash sales, all PWeeIII 733's...non-partisan viewpoint, honest, they say!"

PollyAnna, you have an interesting way of making up your opponent's argument, arguing with it, and then declaring yourself the winner!!!

If only life worked that way... sigh....

Re: "Based on this advice, perhaps one better take a big bear position and write some puts as suggested by some here as a wise thing to do with such an outlook."

Kind of reminds me of a guy who used to post on a Yahoo investment thread who claimed he had both a short and long position in the stock and was making money both ways. Must have gone to the same school of investing as Elmer!

If you feel that way, humble carl sez:
Hock the farm, load up on AMD and get rich

Good luck, you will need it...humble carl
