Henry, there is certainly emotion involved in many of the comments here. I admit that from an emotional standpoint I was excited by the State court ruling. But also from a logic and reason standpoint, I was confident that CCO had established yet again that they were on solid legal ground.

The ruling was very clear, lower court or not, and it becomes more and more obvious that the state has no intention of making a deal until they have played their very last available card. So with that in mind, you can only hope the company is taking a strong stand to let the state know they are in this for the long haul. A timid management or one low on cash will not win against the state's tactic.
For most the stock price is the only daily indicator if others believe this will get settled and if the settlement will be to the benefit of CCO. Todays stock price would indicate that while there is hope for some outcome, there is little hope for an outcome anytime soon OR for a settlement much higher than the price we are at today.

Combine those indicators with the positive court ruling and the potential size of the reserve and it's understandable why some people are getting a bit unerved that there isn't more substantial progress observable to the average shareholder and almost non existant communication from CCO.

Emotion is a powerful motivator for action. And cooler heads on the whole prevail. I agree that irrational actions by individuals don't help, but I believe that Ed has offered some very well thought out, valuable and workable suggestions, so I don't think his actions fall into that category.

The response that Ed has gotten as a result of his efforts would seem to imply that there is something going on. But at least he established some degree of assumption that there IS something going on at all. So to that extent, I believe his work has helped those who want to know more. It may be time to back off and wait at this point, but, to be honest, I'm glad that Ed at least stirred the pot. That way we know if the stew is cooking or if they forgot to turn on the flame;)
