Getting rid of cookies...

Tougher than it looks, but still easy. Look in \WINDOWS\COOKIES\ folder for cookie files. Delete these .TXT files.

Look in "\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files" and you'll find a duplicate set of Cookies. Delete these .TXT files too.

If you don't kill both sets, they'll breed.

Cheers, PW.

myron,

well, i still do not know if this unwanted site is displaying instead of 'my netcenter' or just as a link on the page.

have you tried using the 'preferences' link on the 'my nc' page?

also, just a side thought... if you are totally at a loss as to how this page appeared all of a sudden, you might want to consider the possibility of a virus. i know more about how to protect against them than i do about them, except that an awful lot of them deliver their payload in the form of pornography. that is to say, all of a sudden porno shows up where it never was before.

do you run antivirus software?

back to the 'my nc' page... you can also change your password on the current page so that only you know the password. then you can re-register with a new name and password, in effect rendering the existing page inaccessible. i say this because i am not aware of a specific way to just delete the entire page and start over.

waiting to hear more from you...

:)
