An interesting post and it confirms what we have been discussing regarding the limitations of the Nikkei 225. However, as it is so widely followed, it is unlikely that the index itself will be much modified.

Yes, the forecasts are cautious - but have you ever seen an incautious public forecaster? They are rare birds but I remember one back in the 80s - a Ian McAvity who predicted publicly that gold would reach $5,000 per ounce!

what is difference between JPN index and NIK index??? it seems the NIK index is going up faster than JPN index...
