In bizbuysell.com all companies in sale are with PE of 1 to 5.
Agree, that market leadership counts. Still, after trying over a year of B2B internet strategy with our business software, I can tell, it's not so simple as B2C strategy.
Yes, I can get much more leads compared to any competitor, but I don't make the sales without a local sales and support structure. I got a VP from Motorola to call me 4AM my local time, exited about our products and asking about our offices and wanted a sales rep to visit him. I also got a invitation to make a offer for HR software to US House of Representitives, etc. All my leads expeted expensive sales structure and local business software consultants from us even they downloaded the full version of our software and used it in limited time. So my impression is, that big and medium-size businesses are not yet ready to internet B2B strategy. BTW If You or somebody know a person, who wan't to partner with us as sales rep in commision basis, please let him/her contact me.
Of course, it depends how and to what You implement the internet strategy. On internet stocks, I have made money only buying them after IPO and selling them, when the ride are on.
