For those in the Pacific Northwest: GlobalstarUSA referred me to Day Wireless for ordering information. Spoke at length with Mike Miller who was very knowledgeable about rollout, system, etc. In short, can order a phone now and should get it within a week or so. You CAN then go to AirTouch and have your cell number programmed in and have it work for both cell and sat. (Rather than separate numbers) Also reported he has had inquiries from Alaskan fishermen (Yes, there is coverage up there), and a rep from the UN, among others.
