Looking ahead

Shortly after a season-ending 20-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dick Jauron identified an area of improvement for next season. "We really need to increase our team speed in order to compete in our division," Jauron said. "Tampa has a fast team, Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota." In two losses, Tampa Bay's speed on defense halted any consistency from Chicago's offense. Defensively, the Bears also had a hard time keeping up with speedy receivers like Randy Moss and Johnnie Morton.

From NFL.com

It is the state of the game today... speed wins. Quick teams are in the playoffs this year. Now if we can get some players that operate on Internet time... the Bears will kick some butt!

FWIW- I really like Dick Jauron. He is a winner.
