I believe the Media has a dual purpose in supporting McCain: 1) to drive NH "independents" to vote for McCain rather than Bradley 2) in order to create conflict w/in the Rep party, wasting Rep resources; while securing an early nomination for their real candidate, the self-proclaimed "inventor of the internet", conserving DEMagogue resources for their campaign 2000 national lying assault. History has shown that the bestest and most shameless liar always makes the best Dem candidate. That's what motivates their base.
