Thanks for a thoughtful and measured response, Coby. We do not share the perception that Daniel's disagreements with people on this thread originate here; the vitriolic tone of some of his postings suggests otherwise and I rather desperately wish that we could keep politics off this thread if the subject can't be contained within appropriate limits. All too often, the less attractive sides of people are showing in the arguments.

Lurking elsewhere, I saw many examples of the kind of thing that Ish posted. Daniel can grow unnervingly vicious in an argument and I tensed the moment he joined this thread. He does seem to be attacking Neocon to a degree that does not seem warranted by anything that Neocon has been posting here; I find this behavior unpleasant and unlikable.

As for the nasty-niceness, I did not care for it either.

Just in case you are referring to me, "Jesus loves you," is a profound belief of mine. If someone wants to bring up religion in the context of believers being superstitious idiots, I feel it appropriate to counter with my own very sincere belief. I think most Christians would agree that Jesus' love is not an attack.

Admit it; you just like the "bad boys."
