Petz. I can believe that. Most errata were so esoteric that few were impacted by them. So it is really trivial.
That boot error where it did not start. Obviously Intel thought all was well, so it was in the assemblers shops that the problem appeared. Intel never saw it. They just analysed and bug fixed, as you say, in the BIOS.
