For vast majoprity of CPUs cost is more important than any other factor. I havn't looked this of late but I would say more than 50% of all the CPUs sold in the world are sub $5. Little wonder why there aren't any companies with profits the size of Intel and why everyone wants (or wanted) to get into x86 biz.
