I would think the US stock market and especially the Nasdaq would fall sharpely during the first half of 2000. I would expect some sort of rally in the second half of 2000, however, leading up to the election. For the whole year, I predict a 10-12% decline, with the real carnage coming in 2001.

Gold should bottom around March. A slower bull advance should take hold, then, and bring the XAU to around 115 and the POG to $350 before it fades. JMHO.
