Well there are some bugs to be ironed out in V2-OS I will warrant. I can see where one would not develop with any idea of making a lot of money but how they can say you can write code for the V2-OS, but you cannot charge for it!? I mean who are they to say what you can charge for? Maybe I missed something. Perhaps they meant that you could not charge to add code to the OS. I can see that. Of course the kernel is not Multitasking. I would say that that is a major drawback.

Window was written in machine language and so was DOS. DOS is fast too and was the best platform for AutoCAD for many years. But DOS suffered from a lack of really useful apps and windows suffered from complexity in handling memory and interrupts.

What is needed is a good trouble free kernel that handles multi tasking and has a good GUI. So far Linux handles the multitasking and the defragmenting file system well. If it had a good good GUI and a few more apps in its GUI as well as a journaling file system that would allow undelete then I suppose someone could document and simplify its many confusing tools and write a good fast desktop for it. Then we are home free.

I suppose one operating system cannot be all things to all people.
