Actually, there *is free Sun C++ tool availability. sonki would need to register with the sun.com developer program. Once registered the compiler is downloadable.

Happy new year & remember no Y@K issues for sunw and no y3k issues either.. ...... My daughter's school requires c++ from sun ONLY no other c++ will do. She had a choice of java or c++ and she chose c++ class. C++ required higher level requirements (math) vs java is onlly programming class.

I just ordered her a new PC and trying to find her mathmatica (for free? <too much $$> ) ) /matlab? and c++.

her school is ordering lots of sun workstaions and servers
