John, many brokerage firms offer after-hours trading these days. I would suggest you check with them. Everyone will tell you though that the trading is thin on most stocks, the spreads are quite wide and the prices not necessarily indicative of the next days open.

Jeff Smith

Maybe it's me, but unless everyone can trade "after hours" it's not a fair system. Too many times I have woke up being 10 or 12 points down from the after hour traders and being unable to sell before the 10 to 12 point drop.

Well, you have to have a broker that trades afterhours. It seems to me, that most do now. Island ECN or Instinet are the 2 I know of. There is at least one more, but I don't remember who it is. I have Schwab and Datek as brokers, and they both have afterhour trading. Schwab has Instinet, and Datek has Island. I prefer Island. I'm not sure if that is Schwab's fault, or Instinet.

D.
