Barbara- Yes, Jan can be soooo funnnnie, but can be verrrry serrrrious too. As this year ends I have done much reminiscing, and I recall a time when Jan and I had lunch together, and I explained how much of my portfolio had evaporated in The Patch. She looked at me as we left the restaurant and said quietly "That's OK, you'll make it back." For an instant I thought that this was a bit of p&f cheerleading, but then I saw the expression on her face and knew that she was dead serious. Well, I bought a house this year, and my portfolios have done so well that my asset base is far higher than it was at its previous peak before the energy crash.
