XING --

Apparently he does not know anything about companies in China: he does not know that there is no standard accounting system in China and any financial numbers could be crooked; he does not know that XING is just a small local cord/cordless phone maker that has no future in china; he does not know that China is not even ready for CDMA; etc..etc

If you compare the top telecom companies in China to AOL/EBAY, then XING is at most at the same level as LOAX/GEEK....

Xing may not be as big as QCOM, but you shorts are missing something very important. Shorts argue that;

1. Xing is a crap.
If you think that a company with real earnings is a crap or shit, then so does QCOM, MSFT, or any company.

2. Xing is far off making CDMA phones in China.
You can say that true for now, in fact, all CDMA phones in China are imported. The chinese government will eventually protect its telecommunication industry before China becomes a member of WTO. Go back and read the news again, as I quote,
"In October 1999, the Chinese Ministry of Information announced that it would authorize from THREE to FIVE companies in China to manufacture CDMA cell phones, and grant interest-free loans to the selected companies."

Then, on Dec. 15,

>Loan and Credit Facility Business Editors

GUANGDONG, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1999--Qiao Xing Universal Telephone Inc. (Nasdaq:XING) today announced that the company has obtained an interest-free loan of an aggregate of US $5 million, and an interest-free US $18 million export credit facility from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign and Economic Trade.

Qiao Xing is one of only three companies in the area to receive such funding in the year 2000. <

Remember, Xing is ranked No.2 in telephone sales in china. So the chinese government is going to select three to five companies to make CDMA phones in China, and grant interest-free loans to the selected companies, which XING is one of three companies being funded. You shorts tell me what's the chance XING to make CDMA phones in China??? Or Shorts just filtered from what they want to know and hear, this company is a POS. I do think the fundamentals f this company have changed, and it should be trading higher, not sure if 70 or higher, but looking for single digit is also not likely.

Last, if you shorts often argue that XING is no QCOM, I do agree, but there is one in common on both, buying the future of the company. Investors are buying stocks with great and bright future like QCOM. You tell me that is QCOM worth 650 now???? if you don't price it with all the future revenues from CDMA, it should be like 40-60 now. Same thing goes with XING, investors are buying it for years to coming, not now, the stock market is created for that, you should all know that, so the argument XING is far off to make CDMA phones invalid.

IMO, XING is unlikely going back to single digit, you shorts better cover somewhere above single digit if it could go to that level; the longer you hold it, the higher it may go.

After reading this thread, shorts are sometimes blind as longs. I am planning to hold my position for a few years, so don't worry me, it counts only 10% of my account. Good luck to you all shorts.
