BJ, I spoke with Joe Dancy and Marcus Eder, the guys I work with over at Audioinvestor.com- I really respect their stock picking and market savvy abilities. We collectively think that there will be a split reaction- one part, a 10-20% pullback in momentum stocks like the optical networkers early in the year, and then later resume the advance in a presidential election year.

As to value tech /telcom stocks that have yet to make big moves, our guess is that they'll see the traditional "January effect" and jump some in January- stocks like SEMX, QMDC, or UCMP.

The three big growth areas moving forward are- optical networking, wireless, and biotech in percentage terms of demand growth. IMO stick with buying the equipment suppliers to these three industry segments....

Happy New year!

That will be our "collective" approach in Year 2000.....
