I read a very good science fiction book on the topic a long time ago, entitled "Jesus Christs." I think for every sentient life form there must have been a savior, assuming that the sentient life forms on the other planets had the problem we have with Original Sin.

Jesus is easier for me to comprehend than God, Jesus was at least part human.

It's easy for me to believe that the Bible contains different versions of the truth, some closer than others. The very gospels contain different versions of the story of Jesus. Four different men told the same story, and none of them told it the same way.

On the topic of the end of the century, I remember when I was a kid wondering if I would live to see the year 2000. Now it looks like I will. We will probably spend the afternoon tomorrow making sugar cookies in the shape of stars, and decorating them, and for our New Year's eve celebration have cookies and Martinelli's sparkling apple cider. We may buy some Godiva Christmas candy, it should be half price by now.
