GSTRF is Globalstar. bent pipe CDMA based Sat. Phone company, that is backed by LOR, QCOM and others, bent pipe means that the signal goes up then comes back down, much simpler then Iride Mot of Billion's design, were the sat. would pass the signal to each other. By using a bent pipe design, the sat.s are smaller, lighter, cheaper to make. The hand sets are made by QCOM and others, they are lighter then Irid. and dual mode, meaning they can work with earth based CDMA systems too. greg
