Hi, "badd": Happy New Year to you, too -- and everybody else here!! (and even "Happy New Millennium" to those who think the new century/millennium really DO start tomorrow. Myself, I go along with the notion that all this hooplah is a year early. But I'm not gonna begrudge anybody having a good time if they want to celebrate now. Hey, just means we'll have another chance to do it again next year!!)

Also, thanks for the MCAF re-cap. Have looked at that one a few times lately, but just haven't been willing to sell-off anything else yet to get some. Maybe if I free up some cash next week, and it still looks worthwhile then...

GENE is a good example of folks selling good stocks that they should own for the long run to take a tax loss. They sell it down low and then they can't buy it back within 30 days or they don't qualify for the tax releif. Then, when they figure out that the stock is for real and want it back, they have to pay more. Who knows, it might tank again, but some things you just have to own and leave them alone.
