I totally agree. I think this market has rallied thus far leaving a lot of people behind who were afraid of Y2k. For instance, I put my 401k money into Money market for the last quarter -- obviously a horrible mistake.

Next year's money is earmarked for emerging markets though, which I feel will begin to outpace the United States.

As far as individual stocks, I think IIJI or PCNTF could be great foreign internet plays and great way to play foreign enthusiasm.

The January theme for this thread will be XML plays. Webmethods, slated to be the hottest IPO of 2000 will be coming out in early February. Here are all the XML sympathy plays this thread should keep its eyes on.
