Just learned a lesson from schwab. anybody trading options thru schwab, be aware that when you put the symbol in followed by the .o you are only getting a composite quote.
you should also get a quote using .co for chicago exchange.
or find out where the trades for the security you are trading are being routed and enter the exchange letter followed by the o.
put in order for gmst aug 75s saw ask at 14 1/4.
entered limit order at the ask. not getting filled.
then saw ask drop to 14 on real time quotes.
my order sat there for 15 minutes not getting filled.
so i changed it to market which was 14, it got filled at
14 3/4. went back to realtime quotes ask was still 14.
called to complain and got explained that even the reatime quotes are composite only. if you want an aqurate realtime quote you need to enter the exchange the trades are being routed thru. in this case chicago. which when i did enter the .co it showed the ask at 14 3/4.
just another little thing they don't tell you about.

everybody happy/healthy/prosperous new years.
