I believe that the fed is going to stop pumping money into the market

I was following you until we got here.... how has the fed been doing this? What did I miss? Rates were left untouched. And, I haven't checked but given the sales of fed notes the M1 money supply should have gone down - not up.

btw: I agree there is money waiting to come in and I'm hopeful that it will all balance out. I'm concerned that we are still trading at highs on all the indexes - so not much money came out in anticipation of Y2K. Money has in fact stayed put or been added.... so my pessimistic side is telling me that there has to be some profit taking which we haven't had since October. Then again, January is always a good month...then again this January will be a January after a record year.

Anyway...there I go thinking outloud.
