Hey- you found it!!
Soap Crayons!!!
1 c soap flakes - 1/4 c hot water - food coloring- icecube tray------ Heat the water in microwave for 2 minutes. Drop the water into the flakes a tsp at a time, stirring constantly. It will be thick and hard to stir. Spoon some of the soap into different bowls and color each with the food coloring until it has the consistency of thick paste. Press spoonfuls into the molds and nuke on low for 15 minutes to dry the crayons out. Let them dry at room temperature for several days and give it another day after unmolding.

Or were you looking at the bath bombs? (Not what my brother and I used to call bath bombs when we were small).
