Dealer,

Thank you for sharing the story of your journey. I'm really struck by the trust you put in a good person (Voltaire)and your willingness to hold on through difficult times. Enjoy the comfort your good fortune gives you and take a lesson from Voltaire: pass it on.

A hug to you, my friend.

wow, Dealer, that was fast

now in the process of reconditioning my little mind into not expecting a repeat of the last year

from $33K in April to $3.3M (but no credit cards)
pinch me

maybe we should write a book together
title it

"on Technical Analysis, Market Leverage, Trusting Voltaire's Angels, and Listening to Ruffian's Interpretations"

I think we are likely to witness greater dollar gains, but much smaller percentage gains in the new year

if I had to assign credit to the above for my 100-bagger, it would be

TA: 25%
Volt: 50%
Ruff: 25%
Leverage is just the ballsy vehicle that consists of margin and option calls

New Year Resolution: wind down and almost out usage of option leverage

that shit is dangerous
the time is now to put down the awesome tool

thanks again to Voltaire and Ruffian
/ Jim Willie

Dealer - To an Absent Friend

You ought to get a newspaper to take up your story but if you do please don't mention SI....tel them it was Yahoo or Motley Fool. Lets keep SI a little exclusive. It is the best investment advisor in the history of markets.

Your story is fantastic and the depth of your gratitude to Vol come through loud and clear. Indeed I would also like to thank Vol who has been a source of constant support in recent times.

Until a few months ago we had a great supporter on this thread and just as you and many of us are grateful to Vol so many of us old timers are grateful also to our absent friend.

He was there for us when Q was in the doldrums and apparently going no-where for a few years. In those days Q didn't stand out as the giant it is at least not to us ordinary types and it was vision and support and carried us through.

On this first day of 00 I would like to wish our absent friend a very Happy and Healthy New Year to him and all his family

Best regards to you and your family,

L

Thanks Dealer,

but you could not be more wrong. I had very little to do with your success. I did ask one question, do you believe at least half as much as I, in what QCOM has and is doing with it. You first must have something to have faith in and then you must turn everything over to that faith without fear. I have never been hit by a quote so much as the one posted by Jill and authored by Mohandas Ghandi, I feel to this moment that my Angels had her post it - " All fear is a sign of want of faith". I wish everyone would read that over few times.

So with the above in mind, there was a subtle formula for your dramatic success:

1. Dr. Jacobs and his unrelenting FAITH in what he had helped develop.

2. Your decision to have FAITH in the things Dr. Jacobs had FAITH in.

3. Your own strength in carrying out your convictions, which is just another word for FAITH.

Again:

" All fear is a sign of want of FAITH.

I love all of you in my way,

Happy New Year,

Voltaire

P.S. - I reserve the right to re-post this as many times as necessary so all can see where the true credit belongs.
