Hi John - Don't know. Traditionally, CDO max out an investment to $5MM, but I don't know if it is strict rule or not.

While $5MM may not be a big number post ipo, it is not a small deal pre ipo. Also, situations like Bowstreet are inaccessible to small investors - even indirectly - because other backers are LLP VCs whose equity investing criteria are much higher. Additionally, sometimes CDO investment is non monetary based, such as equipment leasing and/or services. So, from the CDO shareholder's perspective, it is really a steal <G>
