RE:Greatest athlete-My choice and favorite is the one I met and knew personally for two days--"The Babe"-Zaharius --I carried her sign when I was 16 years old in 1948 for the two days of play during the 1948 Women's Amateur Championship Tournament-she handed me her winning scorecard (if you can believe that)--I kept it in my scrap book for 47 years.It is in the trophy cabinet on display at Southern Hills CC.at this moment-(on loan to the club from me)What a fine individual -one of the all time great experiences of my life.wbm
